>>44112605Unfortunately. I mean, something like Cosmic makes a ton of sense for where they could go next. They've already toyed with the idea of multiverses, wormholes, and world-ending legendaries. It just sucks that it would make people angry (either way) if Solgaleo or Dialga or any of those Pokemon did or did not get retyped, you know? And then you'll have people saying things like Clefairy or Jirachi or Skitty deserve the typing because of their spacey origins, and then it just gets muddied...
Which is why it really matters how they introduce the typing. If they bring it in by saying it's unique to this particular situation or region and it has a good lore-based reason to exist, then it's fine. But likely they will just bring it in like they did Fairy, pretending it "always existed," using it to balance types in a slapdash way rather than reworking the chart from the ground up, and then spreading the type around to like half the Pokemon that it makes sense for, then giving it to a handful it doesn't, and all while poorly defining what exactly it was meant to represent in the first place.
