>>44113636I fucking hate them. I fucking hate them so much, especially because of all the obvious bias and favoritism they have in the games due to them being Masuda's favorite that he clearly just couldn't stand to let them be in equal ground with the other two starters; no he had to make sure that Cinderace was just objectively the best in every single way and it's just insulting.
Even IF you like Cinderace you cannot deny that it is a terrible thing to do to make one starter objectively better than the other two and give it a shitload more free toys just because of simple favoritism. Him being disgustingly powerful and extremely unfun to battle against only heighten this (and that's not getting into how this bastard works with Dynamaxing).
Also, while this is a subjective opinion, his design is just fucking dreadful throughout the entire line, resembling a shitty generic sports-anime character if they were a furry. Cinderace has the worst design though, with the elephant-man looking arms that end in tiny stubs resembling underdeveloped hands. How the fuck does it even use it's arms? They're grossly disproportionate, not to mention the awkward legs (I know it's rabbit, but they could still have been done better, it's body's proportions are just all over the place). All topped with a stupid generic anime face.
And if you don't believe me on the obvious favoritism, Cinderace and it's line are the most heavily marketed, they were the most emphasized starter in the Gen 8 anime (I don't even recall if the other two have appeared yet), Scorbunny was the first event pokemon for that new Café game, it's the most heavily optimized of the three, Cinderace is the only one with a complete/fully expansive movepool that doesn't leave it with gaping weaknesses (Rillaboom sorely needs Rock coverage and Inteleon has one of the worst movepools period; meanwhile Cinderace has an offensive move of almost every type), and it has TWO signature moves and a signature ability.
