>>44116443Also I was gonna be lazy and not bother to elaborate, but here we go I guess.
Theme: Intellect/ Smarts
>first stage is a bookworm; also literally an egg-shaped head or egghead>starts out as a nerd who is super curious about everything (works well because bugs are small, so it's like this tiny humble thing who is fascinated with the bigness of the universe, and wants to learn about everything)>also something weak, like a bug or a nerd, probably WOULD turn to intellect, because they can't fight>was so dedicated to learning that when it evolved, it actually gained psychic powers. now it stays still, exploring with its mind and thinking about things>ends up becoming a mad scientist with a fuckhuge brain and powers of mind control and the cosmos themselves>last stage might be a reference to gundams, which is just a super nerdy interestTheme: Circles
>they all have a lot of roundness all over the place in their designs>Blipbug would look like just a navy blue circle, if viewed from directly above. and the designs after it are covered in navy blue spots>Blipbug, as in blip, the small circular dot when a radar picks up on something. a blip also means anything "small" and insignificant, so yeah like a bug>Dottler is covered in spots. It is dome shaped, and uses radar (which senses things within a SPHERE) and connects well with the fact that is also has telepathy>orbeetle>like literally orb, and orbital>the orbit of the planets, or satellites (which use radar)>the moving, concentric circles it has within its crazy hypno eyes, and the ones that light up on its spots, also look like little solar systems AND a radarThe next theme would be radar technology, but I kinda already mentioned all that above.
The next theme I've also touched upon is space/cosmos. Its Gigantamax is literally a UFO. In Japan, the spots on a ladybug are called stars.
The V shapes are apparent and repeat in all 3. All 3 also have a focus on glasses/science goggles/eyesight.
