There isn’t a trio in SwSh unless you wanna count the Galar Kanto birds I guess.
Team Yell isn’t a criminal organization, just a bunch of annoying fans. I don’t think they use zubat equivalents either but they definitely use rattata equivalents via Zigzagoon.
As for rivals yeah that’s pretty spot on but Gen 2 is the only time the rival hasn’t expressly been your best friend so I’d be surprised if they did away with friendly rivals.

Why not improve and expand upon the ones already there? Megas already helped a lot of Pokemon, weren't necessarily broken and were distributed to more than just Kantomons and some from the newest gen.
Also >>44116503 and Kanto pandering in general. We already have Red and Blue appearing as cameo, two variations of Professor Oak, tons of special shit just for the Pikachu line, a building dedicated to simulating a Kanto gym, every Kanto legendary being catchable, and an entire remake set there. KNOCK IT OFF.

Don’t give a shit, Virgin.
As if Pokemon is close to DnD now and never mind the fact that Dice were required to make interactions possible DnD.
ALL RPGs should remove RNG from their battling systems and even things like encounters.
Not only is it much more frustrating to be unlucky than it is satisfying to being lucky, but RNG’s bigger crime is teaching new players to use bad strategies.
Someone is stacking up Iron Defense/Calm Mind boosts? What should I do?
With RNG, new players could very well just think attacking enough times will do the trick.
It’s not like they are incentivized to experiment, use said strategy, and see how other players beat that strategy, all because they learned that just spamming attacking moves can sometimes work.
There are other things like understanding the importance of how many hits a Pokemon can take or the importance to speed tiers.

Get rid of the trend of Generational gimmicks and actually implement new material with what's already implemented such as Mega Evolution and Z-Moves. They've already gotten part of it down by keeping Regional Variants, but they shouldn't have went forward with Dynamax/Gigantimax, which has been scrutinized by many since day one of its reveal.
The other thing is powercreep. It's gotten really fucking bad in the 2010s, and even when I love Megas and the Primals, they represent many issues with powercreep, and it's gotten worse throughout Gen VII and VIII.

Imagine if they introduced abilities in gen 3, only to have no gen 4 pokemon get any, then cutting them as a mechanic in gen 5. They should have just stuck to megas and improved the mechanic, buffing and nerfing as needed like how they nerfed weather abilities after gen 5 proved they were too strong for normal mons. Now we know every gen is going to have some bullshit new mechanic that could have been achieved by a previous one, given to the starters, pikachu, and eevee, and will play an important role in the plot as the greatest power ever, until the next games when they throw it into the trash for some new shit.

No, Eternatus is a stand-alone that the dog duo fought. They’re not connected other than just being enemies. Rayquaza and Deoxys aren’t considered a legendary duo together just because they were enemies in ORAS.
