That said, it has been addressed. The “eggs” aren’t really eggs, but rather containers made from natural objects like twigs and leaves that have been processed by the parent Pokémon to resemble eggs. This is a safety mechanism for the offspring really, done only in unfamiliar environments like a nursery. If the parent was in its natural environment, or is in a place it knows is safe, the process will be natural as well.
