I don’t think giratina is supposed to parallel arceus, any more than mesprit is supposed to parallel giratina. time and spce converge to define reality, and antimatter exists as an equal force opposing reality. it’s weird that D and P are teamed up against G within the trio but whatever, I guess they hated each other in that darkrai movie anyways

giratina doesn’t represent destruction, though, just antimatter. arceus is creation, dialga+palkia represent time+space=reality, giratina represents antimatter which is anti-reality.

It should have been the god of the Ghost World. It's been mentioned a few times in the games as the place that Dusknoir takes people and Pokemon there, and portals to to it have been a shown a few times in the anime.
