Each starter and some shillmons gets an Ash-Greninja like form with some details changing each time you customize your character, for example if you set red hair then Ash-Greninja would have red hair instead of black.
This also change their secondary type based on your favourite type.

Tag teams. Each trainer can get one tag team. Every mon gets a compatibility value that determines what team ups are the best so you don't just team up OU+OU mon. Maybe Baby mons or first stagers give bigger boosts?

Pokémon Marriage, when you send a pokémon equipped with a Wedding Ring you can trigger a Marriage Boost, they will have all their stat raised by 1 stage and can be used every turn. Outside of japan it will be called Pokémon Partnership.

Weapon Pokemon. Special Pokemon that can't be used in battle on their own. Instead, they are wielded by other Pokemon in battle, and take up a 7th party slot just for them.

Even though they're called weapon Pokemon, they can be armor too. When activated, they are wielded by the Pokemon for the remainder of the battle. They alter a specific stat by a set amount depending one what weapon Pokemon you use. They add a 5th attack with a set BP unique to each weapon. Some specific Pokemon + Weapon combos will even change the Pokemon's form.

It is activated with a held item
By infusing your Pokémon with a Primal one of their types gets a buff within battle, this is restricted to stab types though. Like Megas and Z Moves this is limited to one per battle. Some of these buffs include: Fire type moves being able to destroy their opponents held items, Grass type moves no longer being resisted by other types and they lose some of their weaknesses , Bugs getting a 1.5 pax hp buff, and dragon type moves now get a 1.5 boost and are no longer immune against fairy types. To counteract this, all moves that are super effective against these types now do 3x Super effective damage rather than 2x super effective damage
