Playing pic related for the first time and it's pretty nice so far. Sure it's a little slow but the trainer school actually felt like a school for once that was cool

trainer school is def better than the past ones, but still a slog that stunts the start if the playthrough. but theres some dope encounters in the bushes outside so its not all bad

the fairly slow opening isn't too bad until you realize that the game never stops feeling like a tutorial and you're several islands in

??? Most of the tutorials are only on the first island though. Being stopped by an NPC for story exposition isn't the same thing as a tutorial.

It's a good game, but everyone here hates it for being different and trying new things
vp just wants a pokemon game with:
no story
100% lore
every mechanic that was ever removed reimplemented and improved 10 fold
150+ new pokemon each with 10/10 designs.
if a game past their favorite gen doesn't accomplish every one of these criteria fully they consider it a complete failure.

I don't agree. Yes it should have had the ability to skip cut scenes and the tutorial but once you get through the first part its fine as a repeat play through.

The only new thing was the totem pokemon battles, the rest plays the same.

>the trials are just lesser puzzle/request of past gyms lol
