In contrast, Byleth was announced and released within a span of a few days of the fourth wave of the Fire Emblem Expansion Pass. By the same token, if Pokémon is not in one of the next two packs, it's likely that it won't be in at all, because the SwSh iron would no longer be hot enough to strike. I strongly doubt we would be revisiting Galar in 2021 instead of it being an older region or even a gap year.
Snap is irrelevant, Smash acknowledges Pokémon spinoffs in footnotes at best. There has been ZERO content of any kind originating from Mystery Dungeon, for example.
