>>44133487That's probably less because Inteleon is better than Drednaw and more because it's one of the region starters and a lot of people got attached to it.
Personally, I'd say that Drednaw is a very niche pokemon who's just very good at it's niche (it's only worth using as a swift swim sweeper, but it IS a damn good SSS regardless of what team you slap it on) while Inteleon just lacks the movepool to have an identity and will be butchered by anything almost immediately should it lack a sash. And while on paper Inteleon is much better in practice it's better to be really damn good at doing one thing in Pokemon (Drednaw) than lacking an identity or trying and failing to have too many things (Inteleon).
And it sucks, because I generally love Inteleon's design purely because Gex was my favorite game when I was a kid and Inteleon just reminds me so much of him. He's literally Gex if he was a pokemon. It's just a shame that he's just too frail and weak in many departments to pull off much.
I still use Inteleon anyways though. Torrent doesn't come up often, but it's pretty fun to nail it on something.
