Believe it or not, there aren't really that many mammal digimon my dude. The most digimon-like pokemon are the kaijumons of gen 1, digimon is mostly kaiju, robots, dinosauar, and a few humanoid dudes.

The same way I expect all psychic types to be a reference to some form of magic, whether its the fake kind or the real kind, and how I want all fighting types to embody a specific fighting style.

Mankey is the purest example of a shitmon. Its by far the least subtle name of all 800+ Pokemon out there. Its design is a confused mix of a pig, monkey and somehow it has bird feet as well, plus there's the KANTOOO eyes. It has no representation or reference to a fighting style, not in the vaguest way possible. Its literally known as the Pig Monkey Pokemon but somehow has no reference to pigs in its name.
