The pincers are objectively better, they are also much more maneuverable.

Putting it a bit mildly imo. Bug/Flying is arguably one of the absolute worst typings in the game both defensively and offensively. Scyther's coverage options sure as fuck aren't helping that either. Bug/Steel on the other hand? One of the best combinations, top ten easily. Especially since the advent of fairies. Pre-evo dick riders need to let it go, Scyther will always be inferior to Scizor both aesthetically and competitively based solely off of it's typing alone.

I'm just saying how it looks, the blades look way more ferocious. But I get where you're coming from. Also scyther has more of a lizard look which I find appealing over scizor.
