No matter how mad /vp/ gets at hearing this, no matter how much people here seethe,, the truth is gen 1 Pokemon are far and away the best looking Pokemon ever. And I'm sorry but it's not even close either. The earlier you go back in Pokemon the more elements they had of gen 1s incredible artistic direction. Once gen 5 hit the designs just became clown tier.

Gen 1 is literally the King and it deserves to be shilled because not only is it the OG its also just straight up the pinnacle when it comes to Pokemon designs.
