Why else did we get the small story of Bianca and her dad. Her Dad was afraid to let her go and was scared of her becoming independent.
Cheren realized he can't be the strongest and there will always someone better than him (meaning you) and he saw that he maybe needs to search for another purpose.
N's whole subplot was that he was lied all his live long and then decided to take his life in his own hands, which is also the message at the end. You can stick to the truth or to your ideals. You are now grown up and you decide your life, your new Adventure.
There is a reason, why the characters are now 16, because it was basically for everyone gowing up with red blue and are now before finishing the school and thinking of what they should do with their life.
Basically what I try to say and you can not agree with me idc: BW is for me one of the best stories in vidya. It's executed perfectly, it has tons of detail to it, the music is fantastic, the characters are interesting and don't fit a cliche too much. They sure are not perfectly characterized, but that is the risk you need to take for a game like pokemon. You can't just throw hundreds of wall of text for the player. It's kinda like NGE, where you watch the show because you think it's about kids and fighting robots but end up with nihilism, depression and philosphical shit. (SM comes later because character limit)
