Will-O-Wisp would be a bigger hit. There are builds that don't run Snarl; I can't think of any that don't run Will-O-Wisp. Heck, even Justified builds run it for Max Guard.

Haze is a big crutch yeah. Keldeo would be able to 1v1 it with a Sub CM set. Cloyster doesn't have to worry about losing its boosts because it can't one-shot. Toxicroak could completely invalidate it and set up on it.

This is something Game Freak would totally do. They hate anti-meta and show indifference to rampant and repetitive meta, otherwise they wouldn’t remove moves and prevent Pokémon from learning or inheriting moves that made it popular for a very good reason, i.e. Knock Off on Weavile.

I'd have to disagree just because Sand Rush Excadrill is extremely prevalent as well. I don't think it'd be that big of a knock to lose Mold Breaker just for the fact that people forego it anyway.
In contrast, losing Rapid Spin would be a huge blow since that'd make it a more questionable inclusion on teams looking to assign needed roles.

I guarantee it was because of Dynamax. Something buggy probably happened when you switched out of Dynamax on a turn where Pursuit worked and they thought it was easier to remove it
