Basically everything has had sucker punch for forever. It has weaknesses, but glide also gets gimped by any of the other terrain setters since they all underspeed, and gets hard walled by anything with sap sipper. Nothing wrong here.

In singles I’d bet they both maintain maintain usefulness, Rilla packing better speed and monentum with U-Turn, Knock Off, and Priority- Bulu however gets more power, better coverage, horn leech and dual stabs

Bulu’s Atk is only slightly higher than Rillaboom’s (by 11 when both stats are maxed).
Yeah Tapu Bulu does more damage, but Rillaboom’s utility is vastly superior and that extra speed can make a difference.

Fishious Rend, boosted by STAB and Strong Jaw, is the equivalent to 191 BP. If you don't go first. If you do go first or your opponent switches, make that 382 BP.
Water immunity was a requirement to switch in on that shit and survive long enough to actually do anything. Grassy Glide is nowhere near as BS.

Base attack isn't the main factor, horn leech is the biggest thing that sets bulu apart. That recovery is massive and lets it stick around more, whereas rillaboom is better with hit and run type stuff (especially cores with hawlucha) thanks to u turn.

Venasaur is a lot stronger in doubles, it's more flexible due to also being able to sleep powder and higher stats in sun. Charizard is super straightforward.
