>>44161878>give me a legit argument why third versions/paid upgrades should still be a thingBecause people still fucking pay for them. Why WOULDN'T they keep making them? And if you're looking for a reason why they should exist besides money that's wholly irrelevant because this is a god damn business. All they care about is money. All they ever cared about or will ever care about is money. That's the real world dude and every gaming company, hell EVERY company is the same way. Third versions were a brilliant idea to get a whole bunch of cash from consumers with basically zero work involved. It's shitty but it works.
>Why do you buy them then?Typically I didn't buy third versions. As a kid I was content to not have them and I didn't have my own money anyway. As an adult though? The amount of money they cost is something I will never ever ever miss and I'll get some kicks out of playing it. Why wouldn't I buy it? Like this DLC is mediocre but I definitely got my money's worth at the very least. The hours I dumped into IoA were worth well more than $15 and supposedly CT is slotted to have even more content judging by the datamine.
