I was thinking about this the other day and really wishing they’d have made it so there were different pattern forms based on what region you caught them in. Or it could be like the butterfly with different patterns based on where you are in the world.

Oh I recall that yes, but I meant like ones caught in Kanto would have the Kanto pattern when you brought it over to Sinnoh or vice verse. Basically that they would be retained forms that were kept as they moved to different games

They just had different hood patterns in each game, it would change when traded or transferred to another game.
But that whole gimmick was dropped very early on.
