>>44166716You get eevee from celadon my guy.
Have you even played gen 1?
If red is the protagonist, then he gets eevee from celadon
Literally every pokemon on his team is a pokemon that is given to him in one of the games.
So he has all 4 starters, then snorlax (cause he has to encounter them in game), lapras which he gets given, espeon which is the evolved eevee he gets given.
If you want to say that boxing and trading and what not is possible, then it can be any game.
I personally think they just gave Red all 4 starters, to represent all the gen 1 choice. That fits pretty well with Blue being given a combination of his red and blue teams where he doesn't have a starter (because Red gets given all the starters), and every other game except for LGPE (which is a remake of Yellow) giving him the same or a slightly altered team from red and blue.
I would also argue that because there are chansey in pokemon centers in yellow, but not in any other game except for LGPE, that it supports the RB>GSC canon.
That also said, every police officer in yellow is officer jenny, yet we never see another officer jenny again.
In fact, when you start pokemon, you get a choice to use a preset name for your character.
If i wanted to be super autistic, I'd argue that only the red version of the game is canon, since that's the only game that offers Red as a preset for the protagonist.
There's also the time machine in gen 2.
Anyway, I don't find this conversation particularly interesting. It's pretty obvious that it's either RB (because of blues team) or it's no game and they just happened to give Blue his RB team. If you want to have a headcanon that lets you think it's yellow, go ahead anon :)
