I just don't think it would take off widescale, it's just not appealing enough. Perhaps the twisted deviants who want it really bad would buy it but that would never truly satiate them for long as what they desire can never be fulfilled. At most it would be a fad.

When bots are made, I think they'll be more like computers where you buy a bunch of parts then put them together instead of always coming premade. You wouldn't go out to buy a cleaning bot or a sex bot, you'd buy a chassis, limbs, and peripherals for whatever you want the bot to do, then install the AI.

It's going to happen sooner than you think. We're in the uncanny valley stage right now but the field of robotics has progressed tremendously over the past decade or so. Unless there's some ethical bullshit that gets in the way because of feminists and SJW faggots I fully expect sexbots to be a widely available thing in the next 10-15 years.
