If you’re playing alone, I agree. Monotypes are way more fun and Nuzlockes are a boring chore. Nuzlocke’s are best for streamers and YouTubers and shit. They’re more fun to watch than play, and only fun to play if someone is playing along or watching.

I like monotype runs, they're really challenging and you can get very creative with your team
Haven't played them past gen 4 though, not sure if they're also fun in nu-pokemon games.

Nu-pokemon generally is a lot more generous with mon selection in monotypes. USUM is a decent challenge and SwSh if you don't use dynamax can be pretty hard
