>>44176626>I kinda like that Zygarde doesn't have some grand narrativeI don't think anyone's saying it must. Neither extreme should be adhered to, honestly. You don't need to have 'THIS POKEMON WILL LITERALLY END HUMAN CIVILIZATION AND THE KNOWN UNIVERSE IF IT WANTS', but there should be reasonably some lore and history that's built effectively into the world to make the 'really strong Pokemon' memorable. Stuff like Kyurem scaring the residents of Lacrimosa Town so badly in older times they erected a wall and still stay in doors at night, the broken up journals about Mewtwo in Cinnabar Mansion, hell, even Lugia and Ho-Oh are this to an extent.
The most Zygarde gets is an extremely vague dex entry and a remark that the caves it resides in scared off people once. And, for a Pokemon that allegedly has a huge role in-universe, that's both incredibly confusing and insulting. I actually hate Kaijugarde because it feels like a cheap attempt at trying to establish some sense of lore and building upon what Zygarde is without doing anything tangible.
