Brand each starter with its own personality. I mean most of them already have a clear personality to them just from their official art alone. The anime reinforces a lot of these personalities. Piplup is the goofy and immature one, Treecko is the strong and silent type, Snivy is smug and spoiled while Mudkip is just going about his day. A lot can be said about the final forms of many starters but what can be said about most of them is that they're very well designed. Its a no-brainer here.
