I remember thinking Talonflame’s Brave Bird would do less than Scizor’s Bullet Punch because of the difference in Atks, but it turned out that Talonflame back then had the second strongest priority behind Yveltal and was far ahead of Scizor, and I also now can see how Special Talonflame can be useful despite on both accounts of it being weaker since the difference isn’t that large.
With Crawdaunt, Adamant Liquidation is still stronger than Modest Hydro Pump, but has 100% accuracy a secondary effect, and 8 more PP.
Special Talonflame makes some sense at least since it’s has slightly less power for the ability to keep your Gale Wings when using coverage.
