well anon, if you try to fight on pokemon with 250 attack and yours only have 80 defense? It all depends. Sometimes your favourites aren't the best and you need synergy. Try other ones. Try it with new ones.

No, you should build a real team or more realistically play a team that someone with experience built because you can't improvise team building and expect any results, and if your answer to that is that no you want to play with these three pokemon then suit yourself but get used to losing. Also stop playing single battles, only idiots and kids do that.

Are Casual matches supposed to be a good indicator of how you’ll do in Ranked? I’ve been fucking around with my bromons lately (Golisopod, Obstagoon, Tyranitar, and Corviknight), and they’ve done surprisingly well in Casual. For instance, they’ve shut down some Beat Up / Justified teams, Trick Room ones, and even some with completely OP shit like Zacian. I just don’t want to take them to Ranked and get decimated right off the bat.

yeah basically you've got two options - either put all your mon in the same ball (your favorite, whether it's standard ball, premiere ball, luxury ball, etc.) OR you can put all your mon in ball that match their colors/type - net ball or dive ball for fish, ultra ball for electabuzz, zapdos, ampharos, etc.
