Since Sword and Shield battles on that context were more like a sport, wouldn't be even better if it had a narrator? Like, with actual voice acting during the battle introductions, critical hits, not very effective and super effective moves and such. A mature and excited voice like the one in Rock n Roll Racing or that Jojo fighting game for PS3. Something iconic. I know it might have the chance to make it boring, noisy and/or annoying, so it has to be on the right time. Like the stage battles.
