I guess that Gen 6 needed flying models for Sky battles (as though Sky Battles were some integral part of Gen 6 and were worth ruining every flying type in the game for) and they can't make new models because please understand we future-proofed them so we're stuck with it until Gen 10

i still dont know why gamefreak decided to make those wingull hover, in the middle of grassy plains of all places
we already saw wingull flying perfectly above in usum, and there are plenty of pokemon who fly above at a considerable height in sword/shield as well
why not just make wingull fly at that height and near beaches?

That's bad, but it was back in the day before he tried to have standards about what to post and what not to if unconfirmed.
