What is the most hilariously broken Pokemon that has ever been legal in OU? Doesn't matter if it was only for a very short while.

I'd go with Salamence-Mega in early ORAS OU but Zygarde-Complete is up there too.

You did ask what the most broken Pokemon ever technically allowed in OU was, but alright.
In that case it's Salamence. Zygarde and Marshadow were crazy, but nowhere near as insane as Salamence

Gengar-Mega was another epic one. And somehow Lucario stayed legal for long enough to even get a suspect test and not a fucking quickban. How in the world did people think Mega Lucario in OU is fine?

By the time Lucarionite got suspected in February 2014 Mega Kangaskhan had already been banned for like 2 months. The vote results are hilarious, 94% ban vote for something that should have been quickbanned in the first place.

Mega Mence was the most broken thing ever in OU, even with the old mega speed mechanics.
Zygarde-C can't even compare because Zygarde needed opportunity and setup to get rolling. Mega Mence was not just immediately threatening it could also be brought in with dry passes, very similar to Mega Slowbro/Chansey in natdex before the recent bans.

This. Anybody in this thread who hasn't said Megamence doesn't truly understand how completely awful it was. The actual minute it was able to use DD just once it was completely over and it always would get that opportunity.
Marshadow? Had a tiny handful of Pokemon that could revenge it. Naganadel? Had niche counterplay and even then it couldn't just boost for free like Salamence could. Mega Gengar? Broken in the larger context of OU but it couldn't necessarily 6-0 by itself. Mega Lucario? At least had the stupid but applicable 'i-it has only 90 speed first turn' argument.
Megamence instantly killed the entire opposing lineup from start with zero way to beat it once it started. Like half the time I managed to get Megamence its boost the opponent instantly forfeited, and I remember I was fairly high on the ladder around that period too

Gen 2 Snorlax is far worse.
There is absolutely nothing else in any meta that has warped that meta like Snorlax did for GSC OU and GSC Ubers too.

If we are counting unintended bugs, shadow tag in gen 3. Otherwise, unironically dynamax. Dynamax completely breaks the game and takes away any counterplay mega evolutions had.

I'll admit my knowledge of Gen 2 comp is very lacking, but from my understanding Snorlax at least has checks, ways to beat it, and doesn't auto win once it uses Curse once.
Megamence had none of those limitations.

Snorlax was centralizing but there was counterplay. There wasn't really much to beat Mega Mence once it had setup, and baton pass gave it plenty of opportunities to switch in and also switch out.
The month of mence wasn't so much a referendum on mega mence's power but the strength of switching to setup unfavorable matchups against wallbreakers.
It's like how in any format where you aren't allowed 6 ubers, Ditto is mandatory since it copies Ubers while retaining an item slot. Ditto doesn't even need to run choice scarf if it already has tailwind support

If I remember right, somebody asked one of the Gen 2 tier leaders if they ever considered banning Snorlax, and he said that if snorlax ever went, then half of the mons in the tier would have to go too. He explicitly mentioned Raikou and Zapdos as things that would get banned too.

I honestly cannot understand how players failed to beat Aegislash. Just spam Earthquake or T-wave it. T-wave is still 100% accurate in Gen VI.
I have used Aegislash on every team since the start of the gen and it's pure ass. Part of the problem is the loss of Pursuit, but other than that Aegislash plays exactly the same and it gets shit on by everything.

Defensive Aegislash is way more annoying pre-gen 8 because not only is it bulkier and stronger and has stronger 50/50 options due to King's Shield being better but the main defensive cores of those gens aren't all immune to Toxic. In gen 8 you can't really get away with Sub+Toxic because Magic Guard Clefable, Pressure Corviknight and Toxapex are absolutely everywhere. Not to mention stuff like Infiltrator Dragapult makes it harder to stick around too.
