That really doesn’t explain anything given that we’ve had “the new kid” with May, Dawn and Serena yet only had them get one starter. In addition, giving them to Go takes away from actually getting to see them in any competitive manner which makes no sense for the most competitive generation yet

The starters will likely be the ones he actually keeps on hand. Scorbunny and Sobble are the only two mons he's shown any sort of emotional/bonding moment with. My money's on a similar scene with Grookey too.

Are you fucking high? Yes she was. That was literally the entire point of her character and why we're introduced to her for an entire full episode FIRST.

Every episode even starts with it being "Satoshi and Hikari's journey".
