Its a very accurate remake with good QoL changes, the game still shows a bit of its age though in how its structured.
Would've preferred a sky remake or a new game, but its better than nothing

There's some "new" stuff, but its mostly just cut content from the originals and some event only dungeons. Overall its basically the same game but with Super PMD mechanics.

it's still more fun than LGPE and SWSH combined.
at least it isn't a 1/4 game sold at $60 and the rest of the game is sold as $30 DLC

They got rid of the Pokemon running around in their areas.
Instead there are just lists you choose from.
They could have brought it up and given the list option but instead it feels like they cut corners by cutting it completely.

At least it's not as big of a travesty as LGPE, but it's extremely stupid. There is 100% zero point to play it if you've played the original, as is unsurprisingly the same with most new Pokemon remakes now that I think it

Its not bad tho, its just not worth playing if you've played the originals. There's nothing wrong with the game itself its still pretty fun.
That being said it shouldn't have been $60

It's very bad. It's a worse version of the originals with almost no new content. There's a new randomly appearing dungeon that's good for farming items, and Lucario can be recruited now. That's about it.

The combat is seriously dumbed down and the Makuhita Dojo was completely ruined.

I was just glad another PMD game came out after not getting a gen 7 PMD and Super being presented as the ultimate PMD in marketing, I was afraid the series was dead. I just hope it sold well enough to get a completely new game or an Explorers remake.

Despite great story, it was unpleasant to play because of:
1. Learnsets were shit, especially on starters
