If you are going to discuss the """correct""" pronunciation, then can you shits please use IPA? It's impossible to even tell on which syllable OP has his emphasis, let alone whether or not he is attempting to emulate French pronunciation. You can't reliably tell if you've even judged him wrong or right, because what he has written does not meet any agreed-upon standard of rendering pronunciation in written form.
