Wow there were a lot more version exclusives in FRLG than in the original Red and Blue. Psyduck, Slowpoke, Staryu, and Shellder were not version exclusives in the original games. Wonder why they changed that.

It’s not like version exclusives were the single draw to pokemon. One could still trade, collect, battle, etc. without two versions of the same game.
