Even with DLC, like 300 pokemon are going to be missing. They for some reason explicitly denied even the possibility of building the roster back up over time, so expect Sinnoh remakes or whatever the next games are to just arbitrarily omit a bunch of pokemon that were in sword and shield even if they're clearly running on the same engine, with the same assets, and even the same textures and shaders.

Half of the Pokemon on that list aren't in the sinnoh pokedex. They're not going to put Gen 6 pokemon in a Gen 4 remake.

Some people claim this happened but doesn't seem to be the majority and is probably a bug.

Regardless, Home is just 6 months old so we don't know what the long run regarding this policy will be.

Yes? They added a bunch into SwSh for free with Isle of Armor. You only need the DLC to catch them. You can still trade, transfer, or raid for them.

The Pokemon were added into ShSh for free though. You can transfer anything in that came with Isle of Armor even if you don't have the DLC.

After I got a steady job I started getting monthly subscriptions to everything I wanted; Hulu, Spotify, some Patreon injecting services, and among them was the Home subscription. It is a drop in a bucket for me, so I don’t need to think about what the big bad evil corporate man is doing with the pittance he is asking to use his convenient service.

Nice projection, but you'd still ultimately have to buy extra equipment to transfer shit no matter how you cut it. You were perfectly fine with letting them release two versions of the exact same game for years, and then a third version of that game, and even remakes that for some reason were also split into two versions. If less than 30 exist, the remaining place is free for you to use.
If more than 30 exist, the others are still here, you just cannot see them, but Home will tell you how many of them exist outside of the free box.

Reminder that the actual cost to store all the pokemon you can have in home for years is literally not even one cent.

The only ongoing cost incurred by home is having a server and a database running to service users, which is only a few drops in the bucket.

And yet you're charged more than 1/4th the price per year as a full triple A game costs.

It's not really the same service
You have trades. GTS. Achievements. It's much more useful than the Pokebank.

If you just want to migrate current pokemon, you have the free model.

And if you just want to pass some pokemon, you can pay one month and make the transfer from the past to your current game and not pay more.
