BW2 is better than BW in some ways and it's significantly different enough to justify a playthrough. It's a proper sequel not a third version.

Emerald and B2W2 are must plays. If you can emulate, do a second playthrough of B2/W2 with Challenge Mode cheated in.
Avoid ORAS like a plague tho. You'll have no regrets
