No, shadow sneak, shadow punch for example would go to dark.
Some normal moves would also go to beast, fury swipes, crush claw.
And some moves would even go to other types, sucker punch for example would go to fairy

I feel like Beast mode just wouldn't really make sense because these are all animals. Some can generate electricity or shoot water out of their ass but they're animals nontheless. By design all mons would be Beast type.

Beast type would make more sense if these weren't animals to begin with. For example in RPGs where you can choose a beast/animal/wild/whatever wizard, it makes sense because they're all about being a beastmaster or behaving like a wild animal.

Back in Pokemon, Grass type makes sense because mons aren't plants. Some really do look like plants and flowers, but they behave like an animal, they live like an animal. A mon being Grass makes sense because they're controlling something external to their nature as animals.

I'm sorry for the autism but I couldn't think of any other way to explain it.
