>>44229771>Superpowers for no reasonUnderstanding pokemon language is not neccesarily a superpower, and it isn't something that he had for no reason, either. N was raised by pokemon. One of the pokemon who accompanyed him when he was a toddler was a Zorua, who both it and it's evolution can speak the human language. He's basically Pokemon's Tarzan.
>Chosen by a legendary for no reasonHe was chosen because of his strong ideals and desire for the truth about Pokemon liberation. Even since he was adopted by Ghetsis, he was trained for the very purpose of befriending the two legendary dragons. Reshiram and Zekrom naturally responds to pure humans who seek either truth or ideals.
>Only real character development was being used by GhetsisNot true. N had numerous encounters with you, learning more about you and your pokemon and even doubting himself at times. N also responds differently towards you depending on your "yes-or-no" dialogue options. Overall, N started out as some awkward teenager who speaked too fast and by the time you finished battling him in Nimbasa City, he becomes more pompous and threatening.
>Mary Sue as fuckYou can say N's overrated all you want. I personally don't care for that. However, claiming that N is a Mary Sue is just false. N can never be a Mary Sue because he was and was seen as an antagonist needed to be stopped. Yes, he has talent and yes, he's sympathetic. However, the one true quality that all Mary Sues have is that they can never lose or admit that they're wrong, something N has done many times before.
