>>44235232>Yes they do. They're Pocket Monsters that evolve and turn into different Pocket Monsters. Not cartoon animals that grow up into bigger cartoon animals. You're disputing a level of difference I'm not if you have to make such a broad stroke remark. I'm not even complaining about larva-pupa-adult level of variation, because even Larvitar to Tyranitar and Bagon to Salamence have enough connective tissue designwise. But the issue often stems from tacking a job onto the Pokemon which forces them to look a certain way instead of naturally growing up.
I was speaking more generally. I don't think Charizard's growth of wings is a stretch at all since dragons are lizards. Blastoise's movement from the wave pattern to the cannons was more jarring. You hear a lot of people raising Charizard and Venusaur on their shoulders on here, but considerably less with Blastoise, just an observation. Again, that's not to say people don't find its guns cool and like it for that, but we live over 20 years later where there's no reveal reaction since it was the 1st gen.
You're disingenuous to act as if the franchise isn't already composed of many animals with a few adjustments of colors and ornaments. It can't be the wrong series when you look at what's in the series and ask for more.
