>>44236203What makes you say that? The only “ha ha goofy” Alolan forms are surfer hair Dugtrio and exaggerated palm tree exeggutor, which is just an extension of his regular design. I guess you could argue that Persian looks goofy but it’s a commentary on show breeding. Hell even surfer Raichu has history with the series being based on the surfing Pikachu in Yellow and Stadium and Raichu’s surf animation in Stadium.
Meanwhile Galar has MLP, KISS, Charlie Chaplin, & lol funny hat. Aside from Weezing all of those are just references to other media. Even the goofier Alolan forms never reach that kind of design philosophy. There’s no Alolan form that looks like Bruddah IZ.
Again I’m not saying I dislike the Galar designs, I just dislike how on the nose some of them are to being references to other things.
