Anon, if you didn't think the last two Gens were good, you may as well leave now, because next Gen is going to be similar to them. This is a kid's game series, it's going to concentrate pitching at kids for its lifespan, which means it's not going to seriously consider the wants and wishes of adults, especially foreign adults with arrested development.

They weren't though. They make them on 3 year cycles, even when they were doing gap years (which they needed to not overwork the little staff they had in those days) it STILL only took them 3 years to make a Generation.

You're right but I really fucking hate the "its a kids game" thing. Children need high quality entertainment if they are to be given any at all. If you give them shit, they'll not only like shit, but grow up to like shit as well, incentivising these companies to push out more shit because its easier.

What about DLC next year so they have more time to develop gen 9? If I recall correctly part of the problem with Gen 8 was the deadlines.

BotW didn't take 6 tool, it took 3-4. It was finished and ready for launch when they revealed it at 2016's E3, but Nintendo wanted it for Switch too, so delayed it instead of getting accused of pulling a Rockstar (making people double dip on two consoles). They weren't WORKING on improving it, just skating around trying to get it working/adapted for Switch.

It's weird to see people complain about 5 when it wasn't bad. I still don't get why people hated it when it first came out also.

I'd love to replay it with no memory.
I bought SwSh the day it came out and I haven't bothered playing past the 8th badge. Game is disgusting.
