>>44252857Because shinies make the Pokemon's palette worse almost always. I'm not even just talking about the stereotypically worse ones like puke green and hot pink, but most shinies as a whole.
The only shiny that comes to mind that is better than their base colors is Chesnaught, and there's a handful where their base colors and their shiny colors are on par with each other.
Since subtle shinies don't drastically change the colors, they're at the very least tolerable when compared to their non-shiny counterparts.
