Dragon was never that strong of a type. It just had a lot of strong pokemon. Fairy screwed over low tier dragon. Most top tier dragon types had a quad weakness to fairy. Simply making a top ice type that embraces the ice type offensive nature a pokemon designed to use stab ice beams to the fullest would have been a better way to go about it. Gamefreak still refuses to give us that OU stab ice beamer.

No it didn't. Fairy fucked over ice by stealing it's dragon killer role Giving weaker types more strengths and stronger types more weakness is good in theory but in practice fairy is strong against weak types and weak to poison. Thus making a very strong type

Barely. It put poison the weakest type in direct competition with the real strongest type (steel). Losing those two resistances didn't stop it from it being overall a buff to steel.
