The only one here that is offensive is Grappoloct and Pre evo. Inkay and Malamar are more 'spooky' in their depictions of a floating squid so it gets a pass, Stunfisk lives in the sand so it gets a pass. Forgotten the anchors name but its obviously more steel, ghostly as well as plant like before water. Last one is a an Ultrabeast so it doesnt count.

The biggest offense is how the game has THIRTEEN fully evolved, pure Fighting type Pokemon, and they couldn't even spare Grapploct the boon of STAB Dive.
The other four already had dual types, so it was fine that they weren't part Water. Grapploct isn't part Water probably for some dumb arbitrary reason.

Nihilego doesn't have any association with water whatsoever. Jellyfish do, but Nihilego literally is a poisonous rock. Pokemon that don't go for the first elemental association are neat if there's a better idea instead.

Because it's referencing a specific style of martial arts which emphasizes 'fluid' movements. Not every type is literal.

Look at the move Aerial Ace, it is a reference to a type of sword technique despite the fact it's a flying type move, because it resembles the motion of a bird's tail.

Sorry, I explained myself badly. My problem is that OPs limiting necesity of preestablished motifs means that, for instance, all water starters HAVE to be blue, al fire starters have to be colors associated with fire and so on.
Though now that I think about it there's at least SCorbunny, but they still could be a bit more diverse.
