I didn't even know Pokemon had videogames until 2003 when my friends got Gameboys. I was obsessed with the anime and all we would do outside is pretend to be Pokemon trainers and train in the woods. Good times bros. I look fondly on childhood memories like that since my adult life has been disappointing so far.

Same. One of my friends had a pokemon sticker collection book and I remember everyone would choose 1 pokemon from that before we battled in real life.

I used to have so much fun, we would also catch dragonflies and lizards, everyone had an N64 and we would play Stadium, Flying Dragon & Mario Kart. God I miss it so much, everything went downhill after my mom decided to move into that fucking motel with him........

Back before my family moved we used our basement as the game room and I would play gamecube with my friends.
We would mostly play smash and mario kart but occasionally we would play XD or Colosseum to link battle.
I actually made some friends in my new home town that I was able to play Battle Revolution with.
I'm the only one of my friends that plays pokemon now, we only play pc games together really
I was able to get a couple of my friends to complete a terraria run with me so maybe I theres a chance I could get one of them to play pokemon with me again one day

I had both a GB and GBA link cable. All my classmates used to hunt me down for trades. Eventually I just said I lost it because I got tired of being used, and funnily enough everyone stopped talking to me.
