This would be a good way to appeal to normies and hardcores. Raichu and most of the Eveelutions are viable in doubles as well.

I prefer it if it was an option like Shift and Set. You can choose to play the entire game in Singles or Doubles.

not really. it should be that doubles are just as common as singles. this will force gamers to be competent in BOTH formats, requiring a team that's viable both ways and forcing you to re-evaluate your team composition again.
