Secondly, Paras is recognized as the bug in all of its entries. The mushroom is recognized as a separate entity known as a tochukaso. It doesn't matter if the Pokémon is being controlled by the mushroom, Paras is still the bug, not the mushroom. This is why the mushroom has to douse it in spores when it hatches, because Paras is a separate being that can live by itself, but the mushroom isn't. Thus, if a healthy Paras gets infected, the mushroom ends up killing that Pokémon.
>>44276584Well, Foongus, Morelull, and Shroomish are nice enough to not take over another being's body, so I'll always let them go one with their happy lives and then tell the tochukaso that's slowly killing Paras to go fuck itself.
Also, there are real-life parasites and fungi that can alter the behavior of the hosts that they depend on. I wouldn't give the tochukaso so much credit as a living being if it's just doing to Paras what real-world fungi do to ants.
