The first fully evolved starter revealed from Hoenn IIRC, dabbed on Ash in the Johto League, its Mega was among one of the very first introduced before Sceptile's and Swampert's along with it being given to you with a Speed Boost Torchic when XY was released.
Among the Gen 3 starters it goes Blaziken > Sceptile > Swampert in terms of shilling.
And if we're going by fan reception, then I don't know or really care, though they all seem to be received equally positively to me.
