well considering the fact that 2020 was relegated to extra content for an existing game, 2021 will almost certainly have a new game.
Most likely the DP remakes everyone seems to be clamoring for.

Actually the other day one anon posted how ishiara basically said phone games they have made have not delivered the profits they expected. I doubt they keep up with the aggressive mobile bullshit.

I can see them doing low workload novelty apps like Smile and Sleep, but I think they're finally starting to realize the big money is in the mainline titles, spinoffs, and merchandise.

Kanto is virtually a 1:1 copy of LGBT, most Gen 2 changes are retconned.

Yeah. . . . Looking back, that choice back in 2013 to NOT make a Pokémon Z, just so the Alola games could be rushed out of the 20th anniversary, was a really poor decision that sent the franchise into a downward spiral of rushed games.

This, and while it doesn’t make sense to have Gen 8 only have one mainline title we’ve never had DLC before, and that was meant to replace the enhanced versions of games that we usually get. Sinnohfetuses will sperg out over it but I really think we’re getting a new generation next year, and I fully expect it to be a shitty game in a barren region with very few new Pokémon in it but plenty of callbacks to older regions to justify being an anniversary game - basically Alola again
