The worst part is that DPPt is only given a pass due to nostalgia, and gen 7 due to the girls, which are both pathetic. For the latter, you'll sometimes see "b-but trials haha! and music!" Yeah, as if a single puzzle plus fighting two Pokemon is somehow more engaging and more content than an actual big puzzle, several trainer battles and a final gym leader. And the music, oh god, the music, it's so jarring, lacking any form of harmony, I feel like my ears are on the verge of bleeding whenever I have the displeasure to hear gen 7's music.
I could go on but my point is clear, 4 and 7 are awful abominations that shouldn't have seen the light of day.
