Yea I know, shitty level curve and Kanto is barely Kanto but theres so much more soul in these games it feels the most alive despite being made for the Gameboy Color. Different Pokemon at different times of the day, each version had unique sprites for every mon, all that effort for the shitty radio app on the Pokegear you never use except for Snorlax oh and that creepy frequency you get in Ruins of Alph. Yea the Unown report is a bit tedious but so is filling out the Pokedex anyway and solving that Kabuto puzzle as a kid, that memory has stuck with me my whole life(yea thats more of a personal point)
The Rocket revival doesnt feel forced like every other take over or destroy the world plot. Cinnabar erupted, Blue is a gym leader, and the strongest trainer is you from the first game. I perfer Crystal but I’ll follow the rules of the thread and stand by GS. If it was also the gen to introduce abilities, there would be no debate
