What the fuck are you talking about? G-Max Wildfire is just as strong as Max Flare. It just has a shitty 1/6 burn effect that will never really matter because Dynamax Pokemon hit hard as fuck anyway.

Stop using singles logic for VGC mons, Torkoal is top tier so Charizard doesnt need to set its own sun, meanwhile its Gmax moves deals damage to both opponents after a single use so is like an entry hazards than triggers every fucking turn against two targets.

Remember if you waste the first turn setting your own sun then you will not recieve the Sun and solar power boost until your next attack, meanwhile if your parnet set up the sun you will be able to not only get the extra power from the start, but also set up g-max wildfire for extra damage.

In Doubles G-Max Charizard is vastly superior. If the other team doesn't have a fire type you can do up to 8/24 of their team's total HP in one move from just the burn effect. Factoring in the damage from the attack and you can end up in a situation where that one button press can very well win you the match.
